The PHERAstar is the ONLY microplate reader on the
market with five photomultiplier tubes (PMTs)
optimized for specific reading modes. This ensures
that your assay is read with highest sensitivity a
feature that no other microplate reader offers. The
PMTs are automatically selected for your reading
mode and require absolutely no intervention from the
user.
Due to the unique modular optical system, sequential
dual excitation, simultaneous dual emission, and
ratiometric calculations, such as for FRET and BRET,
are all performed with ease and speed. The barcoded
Optic Modules have the appropriate filters, mirrors,
beamspliter, dichroics or polarizers incorporated
into one hand-held module. These are easily inserted
into the reader by hand. The PHERAstar will then
automatically select the proper module for your
assay protocol. Never worry about what dichroic,
aperture, or filter is installed in your microplate
reader again.
The PHERAstar provides superior sensitivity, speed
and dynamic range. Not only does it support endpoint
readings, but is also capable of kinetic
measurements and well scanning with better control
and flexibility than competing readers.

Assay flexibility is further enhanced by precise
temperature control to 45°C as well as multi-mode
